Two cruise ports, one city

Puerto Plata’s two cruise terminals handled most of the country’s cruise traffic in 2024: Amber Cove welcomed 1,201,255 passengers and Taíno Bay 994,609, together 82.6% of the 2.66 million cruise passengers who reached the Dominican Republic, as reported by Dominican Today from Ministry of Tourism figures.

Cruise visitors don’t know the town and have little time, so the restaurants that show a photo, opening hours and a readable menu are the ones they walk to.

What “Featured” means here

  • Top placement: your restaurant appears near the top of the Puerto Plata Restaurants listings for your area, from the Malecón and the old town to Playa Dorada, Sosúa and Costámbar, above the regular listings.
  • A clear badge: every paid spot carries a Featured label so readers always know it’s a placement.
  • A photo and a pitch: one strong photo of your food or room and two or three lines in your own words.
  • Your link: straight to your website, menu or reservations page. Paid links are marked rel="sponsored", the way search engines ask.
  • Editorial stays editorial: paying never changes our “best of” picks or reviews.

How it works

  1. Pick Featured or Menu Pro and check out securely.
  2. Reply to the welcome email with your photo, a short pitch and the link you want (for Menu Pro, add your menu as photos, a PDF or a document).
  3. We confirm you run the restaurant, then your spot goes live, usually within 48 hours.

Request a free listing

Every restaurant we cover can have an accurate basic listing at no cost. Tell us who you are and what needs fixing, and we’ll check it against your official details before anything changes on Puerto Plata Restaurants. Not listed yet? Use the same form and we’ll review it for the guide.

We reply within one business day and only use your details to set up your listing.

Questions owners ask

Is a basic listing really free?

Yes. Restaurants in Puerto Plata can request an accurate basic listing on Puerto Plata Restaurants for free: name, area, cuisine, price range, hours and links. We verify you’re the owner or manager before changes go live. Featured and Menu Pro are optional upgrades, and nothing you buy changes whether we keep you listed.

What is the difference between Featured and Menu Pro?

Featured ($29 a month) gives you a top spot on Puerto Plata Restaurants with a badge, a photo, a pitch and your link. Menu Pro ($49 a month or $490 a year) includes the same Featured placement plus a hosted, Google-readable menu page, a full menu update every quarter and NFC table tags, all done for you.

Will this guarantee more customers?

No, and we won’t pretend it does. We promise the work: a clearly labeled top placement, your photo and link, and with Menu Pro a menu that search engines can read and that we keep current. How many diners choose you still depends on your food, reviews and service.

How fast does it go live?

Usually within 48 hours of getting your photo, pitch and link. Menu Pro menu pages usually go live within 48 hours of receiving your menu. We confirm you run the restaurant first, so a quick reply to our welcome email keeps things moving.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly plans need 30 days’ written notice to cancel, at eyetoad.com/cancel/ or info@eyetoad.com; charges during the notice period still apply. All sales are final. Menu Pro yearly is one payment of $490 for twelve months, which is two months free compared with paying monthly.

We open mainly on cruise days. Can the listing show that?

Yes. Tell us your regular hours and your cruise-day hours and we’ll show both clearly. With Menu Pro, a lunch menu built for port days can sit on its own section of your menu page, and we update it each quarter as the cruise season changes.
